Plantagenet Medical has been providing medical services to the community in Mount Barker and outlying areas for over 35 years. We have a dedicated team of general practitioners, nurses and management staff who are committed to the health and well-being of their clients.
Our doctors also provide emergency services and inpatient care to Plantagenet District Hospital on a rostered basis. We have practitioners with wide ranging interests including chronic disease management, skin cancer, women's and children's health, preventative health and palliative care.

Dr Amanda Villis
Amanda came to Mount Barker in 2012 for 6 months and fell in love with the community - now it is home. She loves helping people be healthy, and the art, science and challenge of being a GP. In her time away from the practice she loves music, art, books, movies, great coffee and delicious food.
Dr Alanna Gallatly
Alanna joined the Plantagenet Medical team in January 2020 as a GP Registrar. Alanna has experience in Emergency Medicine and has a special interest in Women's Health. In her spare time Alanna enjoys the beautiful Great Southern outdoors, good food and wine, spending time with family and her dog Monty.
Dr Carol Fitzpatrick
Carol has delivered care to the local community in Mount Barker for over 20 years. She has a wide range of interests and provides care for the Hostel and Nursing Home patients at the Plantagenet District Hospital.
Dr Fitzpatrick is currently taking a sabbatical from GP work.
Dr Caitlin Growden
Caitlin joined Plantagenet Medical in June 2019. Caitlin completed her GP training in 2018 in Albany and has a special interest in Women's health, Obstetrics and paediatrics.
In her spare time Caitlin enjoys playing hockey and working on her property. Caitlin is currently on maternity leave.
Dr Kelvin Oo
I was born in Malaysia, but raised from a very early age in Australia. I graduated from UWA in 2015 and am currently undertaking General Practice training. During this I developed a love for the rural Australian country, and consequently have worked all over WA and in some other states. Besides General Practice, I have interests in both Emergency and Indigenous medicine. In my free time, I generally like to be outdoors with nature, and will go fishing when I can.

Dr Shawn Hsia
With a special interest in skin health, Shawn is based in Perth but will be visiting Plantagenet Medical.
Dr Ligia Galvez
Ligia has been in practicing Medicine in the Mount Barker community for over 10 years. She has an interest in Womens and childrens Health, and more recently Medical Acupuncture. In her free time Dr Galvez is with her family, exercising or coaching junior swimming at the local pool.
Dr Victor Seah
Born and raised in Perth to migrant parents, it was time spent in rural areas as a child that attracted me to the country. Whilst preparing for life as a rural general practitioner, Mount Barker found me! Other than medicine, my other passions are family, friends, food and wine...and my beloved Dockers.
Dr Seah is currently taking a sabbatical from GP work.
Nathan Graham - Physiotherapist
Nathan is a musculoskeletal Physiotherapist who specialises in holistic, wellbeing-focussed manual therapy and rehabilitation. He very much believes that a healthy body is a reflection of a balanced life and that encompasses exercise, diet, sleep and balance of the mind and spirit. Nathan obtained his Bachelor of Clinical Sciences (Osteopathy) degree in 2011 before completing his Master of Physiotherapy through the University of Canberra. Outside of work, Nathan is an avid surfer, swimmer, runner, cyclist, rock climber, hiker and meditator.
