Plantagenet Medical has been providing medical services to the community in Mount Barker and outlying areas for over 35 years. We have a dedicated team of general practitioners, nurses and management staff who are committed to the health and well-being of their clients.

Our doctors also provide emergency services and inpatient care to Plantagenet District Hospital on a rostered basis. We have practitioners with wide ranging interests including chronic disease management, skin cancer, women's and children's health, preventative health and palliative care.

Dr David Tadj

Dr David Tadj

David has trained in Obstetrics (including caesarean sections) and has a special interest in this area. His other areas of interest include preventative medicine, mental health, chronic fatigue and skin cancer surgery. David is married and has a son. In his spare time David enjoys fishing, reading and cooking. He speaks fluent German.

Born and raised in Perth to migrant parents, it was time spent  in rural areas as a child that  attracted me to the country. Whilst preparing for life as a rural general practitioner, Mount Barker found me! Other than medicine, my other passions are family, friends, food and wine...and my beloved Dockers.


Dr Alanna Gallatly

Alanna joined the Plantagenet Medical team in January 2020 as a GP Registrar. Alanna has experience in Emergency Medicine and has a special interest in Women's Health. In her spare time Alanna enjoys the beautiful Great Southern outdoors, good food and wine, spending time with family and her dog Monty.

Dr Jiahao Wong 

Jiahao graduated from Monash University in 2015 before completing his internship with Greenslopes Private Hospital in Brisbane. He has been working at Royal Perth Hospital over the last 3 years working in various rotation. He is interested in all aspects of general practice and holds a special interest in geriatric medicine. Outside of medicine, he is very interested in photography and is excited to capture the amazing views the Great Southern has to offer.

Dr Kelvin Oo

I was born in Malaysia, but raised from a very early age in Australia. I graduated from UWA in 2015 and am currently undertaking General Practise training. During this I developed a love for the rural Australian country, and consequently have worked all over WA and in some other states. Besides General Practice, I have interests in both Emergency and Indigenous medicine. In my free time, I generally like to be outdoors with nature, and will have go to fishing when I can.

James enjoys the variety of medicine. Special interests include skin cancer medicine and dermatology, children's health, aboriginal health and chronic disease management.  Outside of practicing medicine, James enjoys gardening and creating music.

Dr Ligia Galvez

Dr Ligia Galvez

Ligia has been in practicing Medicine in the Mount Barker community for over 10 years. She has an interest in Womens and childrens Health, and more recently Medical Acupuncture. In her free time Dr Galvez is with her family, exercising or coaching junior Swimming at the local pool.

Caitlin joined Plantagenet Medical in June 2019. Caitlin completed her GP training in 2018 in Albany and has a special interest in Women's health, Obstetrics and paediatrics. 

In her spare time Caitlin enjoys playing hockey and working on her property.

Dr Sourabh Joshi

Sourabh graduated from UWA medical school in 2012. His medical interests include antenatal care and skin cancer management.  Sourabh has completed a post-graduate diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (DRANZCOG) and is currently undertaking study in children's health through the Sydney Child Health Program.  He also provides regular skin check clinics at the practice, including a regular lesion clinic for procedures. In his spare time, Sourabh enjoys swing dancing, rock climbing and scuba diving.

Dr David Foley

Dave graduated from UWA medical school in 2011. Having studied in Broome as part of the UWA Rural Clinical School, he split his internship between there and Fremantle Hospital. Dave gained experience in a number of fields including Intensive Care, Emergency Medicine, infectious Diseases, Dermatology, Paediatrics, and Obstetrics before deciding on a job where he could use them all, in General Practice. In his spare time, Dave enjoys gardening, camping, music, being tormented by his beloved Fremantle Dockers, and playing with his 3 year old daughter who maintains his hair was eaten by a dinosaur. 


Christina Callow- Clinical Psychologist. 

Christina joined Plantagenet Medical in January 2020. Christina is a very experienced clinical psychologist that can work with a wide range of clients and their problems.  She is a down to earth and practical person that is passionate about assisting clients to resolve their issues and be the best they can be.  Christina’s past times include:- exercising, dancing and spending time with her two Pomeranian dogs.

Carol has delivered care to the local community in Mount Barker for over 20 years. She has a wide range of interests and provides care for the Hostel and Nursing Home patients at the Plantagenet District Hospital.

Dr Amanda Villis

Amanda came to Mount Barker in 2012 for 6 months and fell in love with the community - now it is home. She loves helping people be healthy, and the art, science and challenge of being a GP. In her time away from the practice she loves music, art, books, movies, great coffee and delicious food.

Suzanne moved to Mount Barker in January 2020 with her family. Suzanne is in her third year as a GP Registrar and has a special interest in Paediatrics.

Dr Alfred Wong 

Alfred graduated in 2016 from Notre Dame University and then worked in various tertiary hospitals in Perth. He is currently undertaking the Sydney Child Health Program, as well as a Masters in Medicine (Internal Medicine) at University of Sydney. 
Alfred is passionate about holistic medicine and holds special interests in palliative care, cancer medicine, cardiology, general medicine and paediatrics. He also consults in Mandarin and Cantonese. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his little family and hopes to pick up photography again.


Nathan Graham - Physiotherapist

Nathan is a musculoskeletal Physiotherapist who specialises in holistic, wellbeing-focussed manual therapy and rehabilitation. He very much believes that a healthy body is a reflection of a balanced life and that encompasses exercise, diet, sleep and balance of the mind and spirit. Nathan obtained his Bachelor of Clinical Sciences (Osteopathy) degree in 2011 before completing his Master of Physiotherapy through the University of Canberra  Outside of work, Nathan is an avid Surfer, swimmer, runner, cyclist, rock climber, hiker and meditator.

Jeni has lived in the Great Southern region all of her life, and comes with a strong governance and finance background and thoroughly enjoys working as a part of a dynamic team. When not at work, Jeni spends time with her young family.
