Plantagenet Medical has been providing medical services to the community in Mount Barker and outlying areas for over 35 years. We have a dedicated team of general practitioners, nurses and management staff who are committed to the health and well-being of their clients.
Our doctors also provide emergency services and inpatient care to Plantagenet District Hospital on a rostered basis. We have practitioners with wide ranging interests including chronic disease management, skin cancer, women's and children's health, preventative health and palliative care.

Dr David Tadj
David has trained in Obstetrics (including caesarean sections) and has a special interest in this area. His other areas of interest include preventative medicine, mental health, chronic fatigue and skin cancer surgery. David is married and has a son. In his spare time David enjoys fishing, reading and cooking. He speaks fluent German.
Dr James Turner
James enjoys the variety of medicine. Special interests include skin cancer medicine and dermatology, children's health, aboriginal health and chronic disease management. Outside of practicing medicine, James enjoys gardening and creating music.
Dr Victor Seah
Born and raised in Perth to migrant parents, it was time spent in rural areas as a child that attracted me to the country. Whilst preparing for life as a rural general practitioner, Mount Barker found me! Other than medicine, my other passions are family, friends, food and wine...and my beloved Dockers.
Dr Ligia Galvez
Ligia has been in practicing Medicine in the Mount Barker community for over 10 years. She has an interest in Womens and childrens Health, and more recently Medical Acupuncture. In her free time Dr Galvez is with her family, exercising or coaching junior Swimming at the local pool.
Dr Elaine Sabin
Elaine is a Medical Graduate of a University in Germany, and has gained her GP Fellowship in Australia. She has spent 5 years in the north of WA, with the Royal Flying Doctors, and has skills in surgery. Dr Sabin has worked in Mt Barker since January 2014
Dr Savitha Yelal
Savitha arrived Mount Barker in January 2017, along with her family. She is a candidate with the Rural Vocational Training Scheme. Dr Yelal has extensive medical experience and has an interest in Chronic Disease and outside of work, cooking.
Dr Anupam Chauhan
Anu joined Plantagenet Medical in January 2017 as a GP Registrar. He is enjoying life in Mount Barker, and likes to be active. His love of GP comes from a desire to build long term therapeutic relationships with his patients.
Dr Caitlin Growden
Caitlin joined Plantagenet Medical in June 2019. Caitlin completed her GP training in 2018 in Albany and has as special interest in Women's health, Obstetrics and paediatrics.
In her spare time Caitlin enjoys playing hockey and working on her property.
Jeni Anning- General Manager
Jeni has lived in the Great Southern region all of her life, and comes with a strong governance and finance background and thoroughly enjoys working as a part of a dynamic team. When not at work, Jeni spends time with her young family.

Dr Carol Fitzpatrick
Carol has delivered care to the local community in Mount Barker for over 20 years. She has a wide range of interests and provides care for the Hostel and Nursing Home patients at the Plantagenet District Hospital.
Dr Amanda Villis
Amanda came to Mount Barker in 2012 for 6 months and fell in love with the community - now it is home. She loves helping people be healthy, and the art, science and challenge of being a GP. In her time away from the practice she loves music, art, books, movies, great coffee and delicious food.
Dr Arvind Yelal
Arvind is an experienced Doctor, in the final stages of his Rural GP Training. He has worked in Hospitals and GP Practices in WA. He has settled into Mount Barker, where he has renewed his interest in Hockey.
Dr Laura Carija
Laura recently joined Plantagenet Medical after selling her practice in Midland. She is an experienced GP with a keen interest in skin and medical education. Laura currently is available Mondays and Tuesdays in the practice
